Vamos a la casa varias tardes antes de rodar. Miramos por dónde entra el sol, a qué hora toca la mesa, cuándo se enciende la lámpara. Esa hora es la película. La rodamos con la luz que hay y con el sonido del sitio: el viento en las gramíneas, los vencejos, los cubiertos. Después la casa se estrena aquí, con sus fotografías y su ficha, y las visitas se hacen a esa misma hora.
We go to the home several afternoons before we shoot. We watch where the sun comes in, when it reaches the table, when the lamp goes on. That hour is the film. We shoot it in the light there is, with the sound of the place: wind in the grasses, swifts, cutlery. Then the home premieres here, with its photographs and its facts, and viewings happen at that same hour.
